A city water station runs thousands of hours a year, so electricity accounts for most of its life cycle costs; the purchase price of a pump is usually only a small fraction.

The working point is the intersection between the pressure column line–the storage of the pump and the system’s loss line (the static pressure column plus the friction loss, near proportion to the flow equator). When the need changes over time, this point moves; the pump should work within 70–120% of the flow at the highest performance point (BEP) to avoid vibration, aggression and wear of the clutch.

Two or three parallel pumps adhere to the need by closing each pump; the inverter allows for continuous adjustment andins the output pressure stable, instead of flowing by the valve.When the static column is large, the slowdown is too much so that the pump does not beat the static column, so it is necessary to test the characteristic line at low speed.

Against the water.

Sudden pump stops due to power outages can cause large pressure waves in the long pipeline. Measures include one-way slow closing valve, pressure valve, voltage discharge valve and start, soft stop.

Choose the pump.

The two-door double-shaped suction pump, such as the KPS line, suits large flow, balance the force along the axis and non-removable maintenance of the pipe. Multi-layer standing pumps such as KDL are used for building pressure increases requiring large pressure columns in small areas.
